Stabbings, beatings, gay men being insulted (of course Salem is no Castro in terms of a big gay population).  There were lots of arrests and hospitalizations.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I think the mood of the country is very angry now. So when they see gays (those evil, overly promiscuous guys who want to fuck guys, as opposed to the visitors, good, overly promiscuous guys who want to fuck girls) they get annoyed.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;There's another option, too: The gay guys who have had their fill of over pretentious gay guys that are presumed to live in the Castro.
